COMFORTABLE
The BODYGUARD is both comfortable and concealable because it is lightweight. It fits
snugly against the body insuring maximum protection and comfort. Each vest has six
adjustable elastic straps with Velcro® fasteners for quick and easy changes. Both the
front and back of the vest is equipped with a shirt tail to prevent the vest from riding
up.
QUALITY MADE
All BODYGUARD protective vests are made of the most up-to-date ballistic materials
incorporating both Kevlar® and Twaron0polyaramid fibers. Polyaramid fibers provide
maximum flexibility and comfort due to the light weight and freedom of movement. Every 500
meters of fabric is spot checked against a standard V-50 control and verified by an
independent testing laboratory. The BODYGUARD outer cover is made of a high grade
cotton/polyester poplin fabric that is highly durable and machine washable. Our elastic
and hoop and loop fasteners are of the highest quality. All ballistic panels are covered
with a water resistant nylon for protection against the elements and ease of removability.
OFFICIALLY TESTED
Our vests have been officially tested by the U.S. Government Edgewood Arsenal, U.S.
Army Armament Research and Development Command, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. The
tests were conducted August, 1980 in the Chemical Systems Laboratory and were in
accordance with the Federal Standards for the Ballastic Resistance of Police Body Armor
(NILECJ-STD-01 00.01 November 1977). These results will be provided upon request.
